Our history

Octempo:RM was created from the successful international sales ledger and credit control function of an SME sized UK listed technology company. As potential clients of an outsourced sales ledger/credit control/debt recovery service ourselves we were uniquely positioned to build an offering that precisely met the needs of the expanding market for outsourced services across the order to cash cycle.

In an industry renowned for inflexible solutions, poor IT enablement and even poorer levels of customer service we identified an opportunity to do something different. Whilst we never assume to know all the pressures and challenges that a business faces within its order to cash cycle, we invariably understand them and have direct experience of something similar. Importantly, this experience is drawn from having been in likely the same position in a commercial organisation. We are not an offshoot of a credit insurer or a bank or factoring company so we can directly relate to the operational challenges in your business.

Our people

Our senior management team have a wide range of experience and together have over 60 years experience in improving cash flow. They are also drawn from a variety of commercial sectors giving us great insight into the needs and expectations of our client base. Our pedigree stretches across the SME sector but also includes recognisable companies such as Typhoo Tea, BAE SYSTEMS, Lloyds TSB, Woolwich, Coors, Georgia Pacific, SurfControl and UK Fuels.

Similarly our operational team are all experienced credit controllers and credit managers who have cut their teeth in commercial organisations, directly managing customer relationships and improving debtor days, and they bring this expertise to bear in all aspects of our service delivery. They are all credit control and debt recovery specialists who understand how to collect invoices to terms without jeopardising customer relationships.
